With sadness, we mourn the loss of another club stalwart and a true Heron. Our thoughts and sincere condolences go to his wife Jacquie, children, Matthew, Edward, Tim, Robin, Ben and daughter, Sarah, and their wider family.
Simon finally succumbed to the awfulness of dementia.

On joining the club in the mid 70's, he quickly made his mark as a feisty hooker and leader on the field. He was the 2nd team captain before becoming a regular member of the 1st team.

Off the field, he was quiet, thoughtful and knowledgeable. Never one to court controversy or even cause a fuss, he was just good fun to be with. A gentleman and a good bloke.

Rest in peace Simon.
