We welcome all players, no previous rugby experience necessary.
We aim to teach children the core techniques and skills of rugby in a fun and inclusive environment. During the season all the children will be involved in matches against other rugby clubs within the region, as well as participating in festivals playing against clubs from further afield.
All children must have a gum shield, aluminium studs in their boots and appropriate clothing for all weather conditions!
Our coaches are CRB checked and have coaching qualifications and rugby experience.
Wanstead RFC is a family club and the social element is high on the agenda. We have lots of social events and this is always a great chance for both coaches and parents to get to know each other.
We ask (if possible), parents could remain with there children to watch on the sidelines. You can buy coffee/tea and stronger beverages in the club house and the kids normally enjoy a sausage or burger after the training session.
If anyone has any questions please contact the Age Group Manger – we are all volunteers who are keen to get as many people as we can interested in rugby be it playing, coaching or just involved in the social aspect of the club and game.
Registration and new season starts the first Sunday in September.
