15's Home to Harlow
Good start to the season
A strong looking Harlow got the first game of the new season under way in good conditions and they looked purposeful from the off. However, when Mason Noble collected the first ball they were on the back foot. The Harlow defence held up and moved the ball and player out of touch. They then collected themselves and made a rare incursion into the Wanstead half, driving for the line, this time the Wanstead defence held up and pushed the visitors back into their own half.
Wanstead were awarded a penalty on the half way line and the ball was fed to Dylan West who spots and gap and with a strong run opens the scoring under the posts. Conversion kicked.
Wanstead continued to dominate the game, in defence they kept the visitors locked out with some good rucking and tackling whilst some great movement from the backs looked to break through and add to the earlier score. Peter Oriakhi keeping the Harlow defence on the wing busy with some good work, getting closer to the line each time he got the ball in hand.
Wanstead finally broke through and got the score their determination deserved when they won a penalty on the half way line. Mason Noble began the move, he offloaded to Harry turner and he in turn found Dylan West and once again he used his strength to get over the line. Conversion kicked.
